Quality of the input determines the quality of the output

People say: "I tried an AI agent for X, and it failed miserably."
Then they conclude the tool is bad. Case closed.

But most of the time, the tool didn't fail. The assignment did.

AI agents aren't magic. They're leverage. And leverage punishes vagueness.
Give them mushy goals, missing constraints, and no definition of done - and you'll get mush back, just with confidence.

This is why seniors thrive with agents. Not because they "believe" more.
Because they can frame the work, set boundaries, and verify the result.

Architecting and dividing work becomes an essential skill.
Specification becomes a power tool.
Verification becomes the job.

Agents also have real limitations. But input quality is the lever you control.
Use agents where they shine. Direct them. Don't let them direct you.
Once you outsource your judgment, you lose the ability to think critically.
